Here’s the latest 2019 Route 11 Yard Crawl Information.
The Route 11 Yard Crawl is held in Shenandoah County every year rain or shine on the second Saturday in August. Route 11 is packed with vehicles and pedestrians from the south end at New Market to the north end of Strasburg in the Shenandoah Valley.
Visitors from several states away plan vacations to coincide with this weekend to take advantage of the yard sale sprawl.
Some Route 11 yard crawl vendors setup on the Friday before and traffic usually begins to pickup on Route 11 by late Friday morning. Saturday is the heaviest travelled day and traffic will be stop and go for the entire stretch of Shenandoah County.
There are some businesses along the stretch of Route 11 that make spaces available for rent to those who wish to setup a yard sale. Be sure to check out the spaces for rent for the annual Yard Crawl.
It’s not uncommon for some visitors to park at one end of a town and walk to the other, browsing deals along the way. Please be careful to watch for pedestrian traffic and observe Virginia’s crosswalk law in the towns.
